First Donations Ever!

Yesterday I was able to donate my first batch of handmade (with love!) donations to Long Island Coalition for the Homeless!
This batch, I was able to prepare 10 items for donation. Most of them made up scarves, then one headwarmer, and one pair of fingerless gloves. Many of the scarves came from the generous donors who participated in our first hand-crochet workshop.
Overall, I really enjoyed the process, especially in making the scarves in our workshop, and creating the fingerless gloves, which were made of thin chenille (fluffy) yarn. Obviously, all of these items are chilly-weather accessories, in preparation for autumn and winter!
I really look forward to creating more items, this time, creating keychains for Mercy Haven to accompany the keys to new homes!
Here are some designs so far:
This one was a fun one! It took a couple tries, with the first attempt leaving me with one less petal. I love the simplicity and how the shape of the puffed petals came out!
This butterfly was difficult to get the hang of. The first attempt ended with an extra wing—not ideal! This keychain is slightly bulkier, but nonetheless charming (in my humble opinion)!
